The Hotel Sourcing Rating System (HSRS) is a method of calculating the value (performance-for-price) of a partner in a corporate hotel program. The value a company brings to a hotel and the value a hotel brings to a company.
This is possible through a simple 3 step process:
Company.- An independent objective assessment of your company's travel management practices, travel patterns and negotiated rates is completed on a quarterly basis through a proprietary process, as a result over 35 corporate attributes are carefully identified and a "Corporate Score Form" is created.
Hotel.- An independent objective assessment of your property's attributes and rates is completed on a quarterly basis. The NBTA (National Business Travel Association) standard form is the foundation of this assessment. As a result over 280 hotel attributes are identified and a "Supplier Score Form" is created.
Company.- The system gives you the ability to describe your supplier of choice by selecting from over 280 hotel attributes which ones are more relevant for your company (per destination and hotel types), it also allows you to assign to each selected attribute a level of importance, as a result a "Supplier of Choice Form" is created. The "Supplier of Choice Form" is intended to be completed by companies only once a year, however the system gives you the ability to add or modify forms whenever you think is necessary.
Hotel.- The system gives you the ability to describe your corporate customer of choice by selecting from over 35 corporate attributes which ones are more relevant for your hotel, it also allows you to assign to each selected attribute a level of importance, as a result a "Customer of Choice Form" is created. The "Customer of Choice Form" is intended to be completed by hotels only once a year, however the system gives you the ability to add or modify forms whenever you think is necessary.
Company & Hotel.- When the corporate forms are matched through the system with the hotel forms, a "Hotel Sourcing Score" is assigned to both, the company and the hotel. The Hotel Sourcing Score shows the value that the hotel brings to the company's hotel program and the value that the company brings to the hotel. The Hotel Sourcing Score may vary every quarter depending on company or hotel attributes adjustments and natural changes of the company's travel pattern.
Note: The Hotel Sourcing Alliance rates every current and prospective preferred hotel of a corporate member at no additional charge to the hotel or to the company; hotels just need to register as "Guest members".
